KILLED is the gulpable new series from ASME-nominated magazine journalist and podcaster Justine Harman (O.C. Swingers, Fallen Angel). Each episode tells the true story behind a magazine story once silenced or submerged by the media. (Think: Crime Junkie meets Spotlight with access to both hindsight and the biggest names in journalism.) In episode one, Esquire ditches an expertly-reported exposé on alleged pedophile and The Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer days before it's set to publish. Episode two revisits a GQ examination of Vladmir Putin's bloody rise to power—and the near-comedic efforts some lawyers went to keep it from Russian advertisers. Listeners will also get an abandoned profile on serial killer John Wayne Gacy, a spiked oral history of the infamously sleazy '00s Brooklyn McCarren Pool Parties, and more undertold stories that were once considered too fringe, too dangerous, or too something by the media.
